Mazda 6 spark plug replacement
This was the easiest spark plug change I ever did. have to thank the good people over at the "Mazda 6 Club" forums, for all the great advice I got there before I started. Very much appreciated!
The spark plug socket is 14mm. My kit didn't have that size, so I ran to the store before starting.
The bolts for the coils are 8mm, or 5/16".
Other products needed include; dielectric grease, silicone spray, and anti-seize.
The bolt that fell, took 7 minutes to retrieve. It was on top of the plastic skid pan that's below the engine on these cars. By tapping on the skid pan, I was able to hear where the bolt was bouncing, so I used the speaker magnet to drag it into a place where it could be seen fr...

Mynah birds arguing over turf

When I feed the chickens, there are these two Mynah birds that always come around as well. The stay out at the perimeter, and I always make sure they get some too. Right before this vid starts, two other Mynah birds showed up and there was a big fight that lasted about 20 seconds. Then they squared up in their pairs, and started doing this head banging thing while all puffed up. It was interest...

Don't do this because you are not frank he is professional 😂
🤣
Wish we had the zoom in of the last step on last bead, that made it look easy!
The most important thing is how he stood on it to keep the other side low enough to stay in the drop center.
This is amazing , you make man look great
Now do it on my low profile tires. Took the shop 4 hours per tire with me trying to help.
🤣
"Hurry up its been 3 and half minutes" 😂😂 thank you... a little wiser now.
HAHAAAA!!! I love how that whole thing worked out... 😆🙃
Thank you! I was trying to change my 13" rims for a pop-up camper...my friend's tire machine wouldn't receive such a small rim. This worked! Thank you for showing it!
Right on! I love hearing about when it works for people, good job 👍
But how do you balance it now ?
That was just a temporary tire, it never got balanced.
Excellent video! I have to watch it every time years go by, time to change the tires again and I forgot exactly how to go about it! Thank you.
You live in Hawaii? That’s looks like Hawaii somewhere.
Good eye. That was near Kapahulu
@@Jim1457a Easy to tell by the over priced architecture. lol.
@@sushi0085 LOL! The houses are free. It's the dirt that's expensive!
@@Jim1457a real talk lol.
For the amount he’s talking not much is being said 😭
😂😂🤙🤙🤙
9 year-old video and just yesterday i still thought a big-ass machine was mandatory to change tires
Frank is the best!
impressive!
Thanks bro
I mean thats a old worn out tire on a steel wheel. Something lower profile and new is definitely a bigger pain in ass lol
.
This is by far one of the best tutorial videos on changing s tire at home..it has helped me tremendously
Makes me feel I can do it too!
I do that to what about big truck tires I have trouble with they don't air up so fast I gotta lay on top of the tire it's a struggle do a video of Big boy tires truck tires
With age comes wisdom!
how long are the tire irons
about 37" or so.
@@Jim1457a Perfect! Thank you good man!
Best video on how to change your tire. I just got done doing the first one. My wife thinks I’m a genius thanks guys
I’m proud of frank
I have determined that I do not have the proper tools 😂 I got the beads broken, pulled the tire through one side, but can’t get it completely off. Good thing I don’t need it yet. If you’re still reading comments, any tips?
If you broke the beads, then the hard part is done! Just remember to take advantage of the drop center, and add more lube where needed.
Hell yeah! Thanks for this!!!!!!!!!
Very Impressive that was extra fast I've changed them that way a few times myself and seen other people do it but never that fast you got it down too a science you sure know what your doing like someone else said on here most shops can't do it that fast even with all their fancy equipment.
He’s faster than a machine.
I have never done this myself but I've watched this video quite a few times over the years.
i pay someone 50€ for 4 wheels. still feels like scam considering that it takes 5 minutes.
I would like to see him do that on a aluminum rim. Those steel tire irons would leave a “mark” Steel spare wheel that is acceptable.
🤣 Yup, the damage to an aluminum rim would depend entirely on how much skill is behind the hammer, and the amount of fucks that are given! They make wedges and such if you want to protect your rims, but this was just a quick temporary repair on the steel spare rim.... in the intro, you can see the original aluminum rim... Nobody cared about that thing getting scratched.
Awesome
This bloke is KING
haha, yeah man, I was thoroughly impressed myself! 👍
Great work Frank!
Greatest video ever, I just got a flat tire last night, I gotta do My Own tire. This will be so fun. By far this will be the most cheapest method to change a tire, its only $65 dollars for the tire at walmart. Why pay more? and have the service men do it?
Right on Luke, good luck with it. 👍 Keep in mind that you should still get it balanced. This vid was just a temporary repair and I happened to be there. I was so impressed by how fast Frank removed the first tire, I knew I had to film the rest of the process.
I did that once. I lubed it with KY jelly and it turned out OK .
Wtf am I doing wrong? I use dish soap, a 3ft crow bar, can not get the 1st bead to get over the rim.
I also weigh 225 lbs....
@@Viking_6_3 Are you using the drop center? If it's a low profile tire, that makes it a bit harder.
@Jim1457a I tried the center method. Its a 20 inch Toyota rim. Needless to say, I caved and took it to a shop. Going to buy my own tire/rim machine.
I'm really very impressed with your skills
amazing, i just learned how to save a lot of money for the rest of my life. i just need to buy one more long prybar
Dude I watched a shit load of video's on DIY tire removal and install and you are a pro. Thanks for the video it helped me out more then you know.👍
how long have they been making wheels with a "drop center "?
After mounting a tire on a wheel the wheel/tire combo has to be balanced. Also it's not advisable to change the rotation direction of a tire.
What is the lubricant used ?
It was a small handful of "Murphy's Tire Soap" mixed with water in that bottle.
@@Jim1457a Thanks !! was also looking where to get those tyre irons, I am in the UK, so thinking maybe to use big flat screw drivers as one of those irons here cost about $100 plus..
@@stormcup2920 yeah, the tools ain't cheap but the main thing is that drop center. And it helps if you weigh 230 lbs too. 😉

well i dont' have those big bars or massive hammer so i gotta keep looking for more vids....
When I was maybe 19YO I had a little experience changing car tires on a machine. I was looking for work and saw an add for tire changer. I went to check it out and it was all big truck tires. Guy said here, watch this as he went to work on a big ass split rim with a honking big hammer. I noped the fuck out of there before he finished getting the old tire off. Even with these small tires, you are far more ambitious than I have ever been. Impressive.
This defines "Like a boss".
This guy don’t fuck around! lol Awesome job bud!
That was a pretty Nifty trick! You can tell he worked in a tire shop! He had a bunch of nifty lil tricks up his sleeve! Just a handy nifty guy
Time for me to find an old abandon spare tire and practice this. Thank you Frank and Jim and thanks again RUclips University.
How you balance the tires?
Frank didn't bother to balance it because it was just a temporary fix with a used tire... There are DIY tools and methods for balancing. If you have a new tire, you can start by putting the yellow paint dot next to the valve stem. ...like described here... www.familyhandyman.com/article/red-or-yellow-dot-tire/ ...I hope I don't need a disclaimer, but I'm not affiliated with that site at all, and I assume no responsibility for anything in it. Good luck!
